Tawnylust Lodge Accommodation



The apartment itself is located on a working farm where guests
can interact with the animals and in Spring help out with feeding
new born lambs. There are lots of native trees surrounding
the lodge where children can safely explore. The surrounding
fields and ditches are awash with wild flowers in Spring.

There are childrens' playgrounds located in Manorhamilton, 6km
away or at Glenfarne, 5km away and Blacklion 13Km away.
A picnic basket is available for guests use and there is a
beautiful picnic area on the shores of Lough Macnean 6km away.

Teenager Friendly: Surfing at Bundoran 23km, SUP (stand up paddling)
available at Dromahair, water and land activities,
canoeing, banana boat, orienteering, caving and mountain biking
available at Corralea Activity Centre, 15km.

Wheelchair friendly: Wheelchair accessibility to premises,
ensuite and patio, wheelchair taxi available locally.
Wheelchair accessible fishing pier at nearby Lough McNean.

Cycling and walking: Kingfisher cycling trail and North West Cycle
trail: maps and bicycle hire available locally. The Leitrim Way
walking route is visible from the Lodge. The North Leitrim
Glens is an area renowned for it’s hill walking, affording
fabulous views of the surrounding land and seascapes, guide
available on request.

Fishing: Course fishing at Lough Macnean 6km (license req),
Game fishing, Lough Melvin 15km, and Bonet River 6km.
Golfing: Blacklion Golf Club 14km, Lough Erne Golf Resort 30km.

We provide a ‘welcome pack’ for visitors, which includes local,
organic and Fairtrade cereal, tea, coffee and preserves.
Information is available on biodiversity, archaeology and heritage of
the area as well as information on local arts and culture. You don't
even have to leave the premises to enjoy spectacular views of the
surrounding mountains and lake. Tawnylust Lodge is surrounded on
three sides by native trees and you can observe birds about their
daily business, and if lucky, see the hen harrier search his territory for lunch.


If you visit in March you will see where the term
' mad as a march hare' comes from!
In Spring and early Summer the surrounding fields are alive with
wildflowers and the bats are seen out hunting after dusk.

The accommodation here at Tawnylust Lodge
comprises of the following:

One bedroom ensuite self-catering apartment.
Guests have a choice of double or single beds
in the bedroom and there is a double studio bed in the living area.
Sleeps up to four people.

Guests have a patio area where they can enjoy the stunning views of
Ballinabehy mountain and Munakill lake to the front and Doagh mountain
to the back. The apartment itself has huge windows which enhances
the guests panoramic views of the area.

There is a well equipped kitchen with microwave, electric oven,
gas hob and a washer/dryer and dishwasher. There is a Satellite
TV with dvd player, wifi broadband, library, DVDs and
CDs supplied for guest use.

Baby friendly: Full size cot, high chair and baby bath with local
babysitting service available on request.
